I just wrapped up the academic bridging certificate. Honestly, the whole thing was pretty straightforward. I’m satisfied with how it all went. I felt pretty neutral about the whole thing, to be honest. My main goal was just to see the world and do something that felt worthwhile. I finished a short-term course with them recently. The material was fine, but I really wished there were more live discussions instead of just reading on my own. It got a bit lonely.

It’s a decent program for the price, that’s for sure. I’m about halfway through the certificate now. Meeting people from different countries in the forum has been a nice bonus. The grammar units are a bit dry, but the lesson planning stuff is useful. I wouldn’t say I’m thrilled, but it’s getting the job done for a refresher. I guess I feel a bit more ready to teach abroad because of it, which is the main thing. Not a bad way to spend a few evenings a week.
